The Terrenzana lagoon is preserved and protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral de Corse. It is a refuge for wild species: endemic flora, lake plants, autochthonous species and migratory birds meet in a rich and colourful biodiversity. The Terrenzana pond is salty, so it does not attract mosquitoes. Moreover, the presence of geckos and frogs that feed on them contributes to decreasing their numbers!
